Coupon
From WilmottWiki
(Redirected from Coupons)
A coupon is a regular payment from a bond. The coupon rate is the effective interest rate calculated from these regular payments. The origin of the term comes from the bond certificates that used to be printed; these had several detachable portions ('coupons') which could be exchanged for money at regular intervals from the issuer of the bond.
